LED Floodlight
With the recent progress in LED technology, LED floodlights are now a real halogen alternative. Our LED floodlights offer both huge energy savings (up to 90%) and a long life span (up to 50,000 hours) meaning lower energy bills as well saving on replacement units / lamps and associated maintenance costs.

Our range of LED floodlights / outdoor lighting can be used in many different applications, from the usual simple outdoor lighting requirements to specialist accent lighting in showrooms. The majority of the products can also be connected to external PIR sensors to, for example, make an energy efficient PIR LED security light or an “automatic on” garden lighting scheme. We also offer directional LED garden lights and these will really make features of the best parts of your garden from up-lighting shrubs and trees at the back of your garden to illuminating a garden pond, flowerbeds and seating areas for those summer evenings. Our larger LED floodlight units are suitable for commercial applications due to the high performance specification that Light Spark has them designed and manufactured to. We have customers using our high power LED floodlights in barns, riding schools, grain silos and transport yards as well as normal building security. Our floodlights have even been included in the design specification for oil rigs due to the high IP65 rating and expected life span each unit has.
These are just a few applications that LED floodlights are used for, being solidly manufactured and extremely robust, they can be placed wherever you have a demand for a high power energy efficient light source. So, with the many uses and applications for LED floodlights you can see that the future is indeed bright and as these type of lights become more popular not only for their stylish looks and modern appeal but also for their efficient energy saving and low maintenance costs versus the more traditional lighting solutions.

This technology, which is based around the Light - Emitting Diode (LED), has now become something we can use at home, at work and even in motor vehicles. The first of these lights was invented in 1962 and it has taken some time for the business to adapt the invention and give it the required performance required to cater for the domestic and commercial markets. From the start LED lights have been used in more expensive equipment such as the equipment you would find in a laboratory or electronic test equipment. From there was the shift to more common home appliances from TV’s telephones, radios and even watches.
The main purpose for these LED lights was not to illuminate an area but more to act as an indicator as we know today from putting the TV on standby. LED floodlights are something which those in the construction / installer industries are now starting to fit as standard, especially as the government is always looking to put forward incentives for low energy schemes. The style of the lights is also very modern and refreshing as designers start to look how to incorporate the technology within their new product design.

Following the demise of the incandescent lamp over the last few years, the halogen lamps and related products will also fall into the energy inefficient bucket in 2016 as planned legalisation comes into effect. Energy saving compact fluorescent lamps never really won the public over due to the “flat” colour they give off and slow start up times suffered. LED lighting will become the main lighting technology towards the end of this decade and is where most lighting manufacturers and suppliers are current developing their product portfolios.
